Dear God,

Thank you.

Thank you for letting me know ABOUT you. Thank you for letting me yearn for you.

But, now I want to know you. I want to see you. I want to hear your voice. I want to feel your love. I want a deep, intimate relationship with you.

I learned that Christianity is to surrender every single thing in my life to you. I honestly am not sure if I am ready to give up everything for you.

But, one thing I am sure is that I want to love you with all my heart and with all my soul. I want to walk with you. I want to choose you instead of all the worldly temptations and desires. I want to be your daughter. I want to be your bride. I want to surrender to you.

I want YOU. So please give me the heart to love you, to praise you and to keep yearning for YOU. Please open my eyes, ears and hearts to feel your presence.

So Jacob served seven years for Rachel, and they seemed to him but a few days because of the love he had for her.

“Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity.”

Treasures in Heaven

“Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moth and rust do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where you treasure is, there your heart will be also.” - Matthew 6:19-21

“Count yourselves dead to sin but alive to God in Christ Jesus. Therefore, do not let sin reign in your mortal body so that you obey its evil desires. Do not offer the parts of your body to sin, as instruments of wickedness, but rather offer yourselves to God, as those who have been brought from death to life; and offer the parts of your body to him as instruments of righteousness. For sin shall not be your master, because you are not under law, but under grace.” - Romans 6:11-14

Rest for the Weary

“come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”

-Matthew 11:28-30

“But God doesn’t call us to be comfortable. He calls us to trust Him so completely that we are unafraid to put ourselves in situations where we will be in trouble if He doesn’t come through.”

Do Not Worry

“Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink or about your body, what you will wear…But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.” - Matthew 6:25, 33-34
